COTTO VIETRESE SHAPES AND FORMATS
This is the oldest terracotta of all, the most arcaic one, the one which descends from the clay that was mixed with water and then left drying in the sun. Nowadays the production is carried out by means of shapes in which the raw clay is manually placed and compacted, then dried in the air before firing. Vietrese Terracotta is the widest range of sizes available and can also be requested with Reverse surface, which looks a bit more rustic as it is enhanced by the glazing. Vietrese Terracotta is appreciated for its uneven surface, irregular sides, small imperfections that express a strong aesthetic identity in the several glazed versions. It is available natural (raw) and glazed .
COTTO ARCOBALENO
This terracotta is paste-coloured by using oxides and it is produced in fourteen different colours. Its structure, shape and technique are the same as Vietrese one, but in this collection we have coloured clays and the tiles must be installed only by using a primer and wax. Also in this case the natural elements, the number of watercolour shades, the smoothness of the clay make it an excellent product to be used in Bio Architecture projects.

CLASSICO VIETRI
This is the collection that represents the tradional style and the themes of Vietri ceramics, both those dating back to 1600 and the more recent ones from the ‘60s and the ‘70s. Available in different sizes, from the most popular one 20x20, to 10x10, or floorboards, frames and the beautiful rosettes, these designs on the white glazing called bianco cava, create graceful threads enriching every surface and space. These decorations can be often found in period villas, ancient churches and monasteries around Campania, especially in Sorrento Peninsula, Amalfi Coast and the royal city of Naples. The ceramic decoration is the main feature of important and historical architectures, such as Certosa di Padula and the majolica cloister of Santa Chiara in Naples.costiera amalfitana e nella regale Napoli, ed il chiostro maiolicato di Santa Chiara a Napoli.
TRADIZIONE VIETRI
This collection is composed by some of the traditional and classic designs, revisited and reintroduced in new colours. One of our distinctive features has always been the bespoke product: choosing from our range of 25 colours, adding a touch of exclusivity and uniqueness, creating new armonies and identities to our decorations, so that to suit perfectly with the spaces where they are to be placed.
ANTICA ITALIA
Besides the historical Vietri decorations, this collection is about influences of nearby regions, especially within the old borders of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. In this collection we put our emotional and chromatic interpretation to century-old designs. This way we succeded in creating new ornaments for any space requiring a cosy atmosphere just as the one that only ceramic can give and tayloring every single project with charme.
FORMA
The predominant themes of the decorations in this collection are geometric patterns and stylised flowers. As it often happens, these designs look modern at first, but their origin lays in the great casket of the ancient Vietri ceramic tradition. We have hence taylored a new suit to these designs using those colours which are sometimes secondary and subsidiary to the main ones such as copper green, blue, orange, typically used in classic Vietri decorations. Using cold colours, such as the grey range up to black, the warm tones like cream as far as manganese, we give a contemporary glamour, close to the tones used by interior designers who appreciate the strength and the elegance of the backgrounds of these beautiful decorations. The effect of these fine textures brighten up and give enthusiasm to any space, just as only our decorations can do.
RIEDIZIONI
(Re-editions) that’s the name of this monochrome collection where we propose old patterns, some of them dating back centuries ago. Thanks to the bianco craquelé, which produces a visible crackle on the ceramic surface, together with the unique dark manganese, that characterises the entire collection, the resulting designs are very elegant. Many like to use these designs to create patchworks, a custom from the postwar period, when the different tiles available were mixed up on the walls, a work still visible in some kitchens of old houses on the Amalfi Coast
ESAGONI
Pythagoras used to consider this ancenstral geometric figure as formed by two crossed triangles (hexagram) the symbol of creation. The hexagon is in fact at the basis of the figure making the flower of life. Hence just because of this aura of magic which surrounds this shape, the sophisticated decorations that we present, have each something wonderful that creates different threads when assembled, depending on the laying.
CLOISONNE'
We chose the French word Cloisonnè for this fine collection, as it indicates a very old ceramic technique which allows to obtain the decoration with the effect of a light engraving, highlighting the terracotta base from the glazing. So the design is deduced from the terracotta colour, in contrast to the bianco cava white glazing.
In the original symbolism the White colour is associated to light as a fundamental element, so as it is written in the myth of creation. Our offer of glazes goes from bright, opaque, glossy with crystals, bluish to metallic. They’re all the result of years of research and study of our laboratories to be able to offer our customers products that are unique and exceptional, suitable to any kind of decor and ambience.
PENNELLATI A MANO
A wide range of colours handmade by using large brushes, an age-old technique handed down to create colours on tiles. The main feature is the streak left by the brushes that give the tiles a direction. It is possible to lay the tiles either in the tradional way, that is basket weave pattern or according to the surface either horizontal or vertical.
SERIE MEDITERRANEO
This collection is strongly characterised by the iridescence of the glaze it is composed of a pale blue shade, a veil of sea can be found in each of the Mediterraneo range. Creamy uneven glazes, that darken the colour on the edges of the tiles, highlighting the pale blue shade, the series own identity.
SERIE MARI DELLA COSTA
Glazes with crystals that can have the craquelè typical of glass glazes, very beautiful, more than twenty colours inspired by the Mediterranean nature of Amalfi Coast. Thanks to their exceptional colour we find wide transparence and dept of surface that give unique emotions on terracotta. The depth of the glazing is enhanced by the white clay body.
SERIE SENSAZIONI
The Sensazioni collection is made of two types of glazes, an opaque and a glossy one with corresponding colours. Hence, there’s always a double version of each colour: matt e glossy. The matt version is particularly fashinating and it’s smooth and silky at the touch, in contrast to the glossy onewith its vitreous surface. The colour range is very close to the contemporary colours used in modern projects.
SERIE METALLICA
The exclusive and luxurious metallic effect of Gold, Lead and Copper are our sophisticated and precious proposal to give any living space prestige with majolica surfaces. The beauty of this collection is magnified on handmade terracotta bases creating results with a unique touch.
